I understand “Om Telolet Om” after reading comment ar in almost all berita portals or in media sosial in Indonesia. Everything the content of the news, there should be one or two setiap orang commented “om Telotet om”. Why this expression so continue or therefore popular?

OmTelolet Om

So maafkan saya is Om Telolet Om? What melakukan it mean? (Somehow I regularly misspelled v toletot, tolelot, tolelet, toletet, tolelet etc). Di sini is the explanation. This phenomenon becomes well-known after some orang upload a video clip taken in Jepara, southern Java, Indonesia. The video pameran some kids standing at side of the road waiting for intercity bus to happen by. Together the bus draw near come the kid, they will shout “Om Telolet Om” (sometimes part kid hold a paper tertulis Om! Telolet). The shouting is handle to the bus driver to honk the horn.

“Om” is a term to panggilan older male. If interpreted to english it means “uncle”, however in basic it can also mean “sir”. “Telolet” represent the bus horn sound, is favor “Honk honk”. (Since several of Indonesian busses terdengar not as straightforward as “honk”)

In short, when rakyat says “Om Telolet Om” is same as speak “Sir, Honk Honk, Sir” (translated literally) or “Sir, please honk the horn”. Particularly this shouting is directed to a bus or sometimes a truck driver.

So, what is the purpose? Why the kids asking this? Well, it just for fun. Maybe those kids felling happy just by hear busses horn. Or maybe due to the fact that they hanya want to do something bersama with milik mereka friends.

For bismania masyarakat (a team of bus enthusiast), this is not something new. They currently documented the uniqueness of numerous busses horn in Indonesia because that quite long ago. Yet for many other people, this phenomenon become kecenderungan after they observed how those kids patiently wait for the bus to happen by and how they very happy when the driver honk the horn. This kekuasaan people realize that happiness is simple.

Nowadays, not hanya kids that eagerly waiting for the bus and also say “Om Telolet Om”, but juga teenagers (male and female) and also adult too. Some orang record the sound then upload it to social media; part mix it with music and so on.

Well, i guess the is great for horn service owner and juga for the bus driver to store them awake or come make anda day a small bit happier just by looking at the kids" senang face.

Maybe some rakyat will think this think is cheesy or possibly they will certainly ask inquiries are Indonesian kids’ lack of entertainment? Well, in my personal opinion, as long as it kekuasaan peoples happy, what’s wrong with that? (As lengthy as we do it safely). Probably we all should shot it because that our self, standing in next of the road, hold a banner and kemudian we shouting come the bus driver “Oooommm…. Telolet oooommmm…..” ns bet it will certainly be funny
